This chapter has been doing the work for years. Banquets that fund habitat. Scholarships that send kids to school. First bird awards that hook a young hunter for life. But if a family in the county can't find the banquet date or figure out how to submit their kid's first bird, none of it reaches them. Our job was simple: take everything this chapter already does and make it impossible to miss. Clear pages, obvious next steps, and a site the volunteers can actually run themselves.
Most common questions from outdoor brands about marketing agencies.
By working the people who already raised their hand. Most chapters and districts have years of banquet attendees, event sign-ups, and inquiries sitting in a spreadsheet nobody emails. That list will outperform any ad you could run, and it costs nothing.
Start earlier and stop relying on the same fifty people to tell everyone. Ticket sales follow a curve, and most chapters begin promoting about a month too late and lean entirely on organic posts. A short paid push in the right counties, plus email to last year's attendees, usually moves the number more than anything else available to you.
Yes, and that's the requirement, not a nice-to-have. If updating the site takes a specialist, it stops getting updated the moment that person's term ends. We build for the volunteer who'll inherit it in two years.
Not by talking about membership. Younger people join causes they see doing something, so the content that recruits them is the habitat work, the youth hunt, the kid holding their first bird. Lead with the work and the membership ask lands. Lead with the membership ask and it doesn't.
Organic reach on a chapter page is mostly people who already follow you, which means you're talking to members about becoming members. Even a small paid budget aimed at the right counties reaches people who've never heard of you, and for events that's usually where the growth is.
Report it publicly and consistently. Acres improved, students funded, permits processed, birds released — put it on the site and in an email, not just in a board packet. It's the same content that renews members and reassures donors, and most groups do this work and never tell anyone.
Yes. We built the NWTF Indiana State Chapter site inside national's standards. Chapters and affiliates have rules about marks, colors, and messaging, and working inside them is part of the job.
